The Health and Human Resources Administration (HRSA) has awarded HOPE for Georgia Moms additional funding to support Medicaid redetermination for pregnant and postpartum individuals and their families in Georgia.
To do this, HOPE for Georgia Moms has chosen to support the “Stay Informed. Stay Covered.” campaign managed by Jackson Spalding, a marketing and PR firm. Working with Jackson Spalding, the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) have implemented a statewide public awareness campaign to help Georgia’s Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members prepare for and complete the resumption of annual benefits eligibility checks, a 14-month, federally mandated process called “redetermination.” From April 2023 through May 2024, through the “Stay Informed. Stay Covered” campaign, DHS, DCH, and other local partners have been working to educate and mobilize Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members through in-person outreach, advertising, and educational materials in multiple languages. More information on this effort is available at staycovered.ga.gov.
HOPE for Georgia Moms is supporting three major initiatives in 2024: Mommy and Me Health Fairs in rural Georgia, “Stay Informed. Stay Covered.” community mini-grants, and the creation and distribution of educational materials from the “Stay Informed. Stay Covered.” campaign and Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia.
